Ooh! For my budding artist
We like to incorporate fun by weaving learning into play. With my preschooler, exploring outdoors is something we do often, and talk about shapes, colors, new words, animals, etc, all while having fun
We also learn our Spanish words by repeating everyday objects in both English and Spanish!
We also learn by making up songs driving around town. I see a red car! I see a big truck!

very important to learn about stranger danger situations! strangers are people he does not see everyday or know. Does not matter if they say they are mommy or daddy’s friend! Run!
We’ve thought about buying computer games for him to learn how to type and have fun. He is too young now but we’ll buy a few to try out.
My mom was a school teacher so he gets tutoring at grandma’s house on shapes & colors! he learns to write his name and write thank you cards to family members. Learns his manors!
My son likes to pretend to be the teacher and play school with his younger sister. She learns so much…even though they are just playing. i really encourage this, as it becomes a fun learning experience for both of them.

We love to explore different mediums of art through different stamps, paints, model dough, etc. It’s so much fun to try new things, and they are both learning at the same time!
thanks for the chance to win, and thanks so much to Gumpy Lump that it’s on sale!!
i take the kids on hikes to explore the woods and creek on our property. We keep a journal about the different kinds of animal scat or tracks we find. Then we talk about the habitats of the different animals, what they eat..where they live. There is so much to learn right outside the door! We have many books on animal habitats that we use to further explore what we learned on our hike.

We grow a large garden, and our kids have their own garden. It’s only a 5×5 space, but they are in charge of planting and maintaining it. They learn so much about where food comes from, how seeds grow and sprout, what plants need to grow (sunlight, water) etc.

We incorporate fun with learning by learning through play, field trips, and through nature and real life experiences. Kids really enjoy being hands on.

We have had a lot of fun with science this summer. We did basic experiments to make slime, bouncy balls and grow borax crystals. The kids really were excited about it and had lots of fun..especially with the slime. My youngest is too little to understand the ’science behind it all’ but still enjoys the process.

You know my daughter says she wants to be an artist when she grows up. This easel would be a great step in the right direction!
I incorporate fun into learning all day. We roll clay into alphabet shapes, make our own books, count her stuffed animals as they go into bed with her at night, count the stairs as we go up and down, try to think of synonyms for words we’re using. We even had a birthday party for George Washington this year!

I like to ask questions to my toddler. What do you see? And then build off what he tells me. Great interaction time for the two of us, and he leads the conversation.

As a Mom of 3 and grandmother of 4,and a former teacher,I love using art and chalk to make learning letters and numbers a fun way to practice,When the lovebugs get older, painting anything they want is great,Their favorite animal,a fun place to go on a vacation. That makes my angels do what they want and use their imagination!!!! What would would do without MELISSA AND DOUG????
we incorporate our lessons with field trips. we go anywhere local park, aquarium, beach, grocery store anywhere that we can take learning out of the “classroom” setting.
Incorporating fun into learning changes for us depending on the subject we are learning about. I have a 10 yr. old and a 6 yr. old so sometimes we may write a story or journal about what we learned, other times we will make a collage or picture. My daughter loves art, claims she will be an artist when she grows up. She is always begging me to get out the paints.
