Well, I have 2 kids, but even if your child isn't an only child, they still need socialization.

We belong to a local homeschool group that meets every other week. Boy scouts. Neighbors, friends, extended family.

Our days are pretty busy.

Starting in Aug our week is co-op on Mondays, cub scouts and Origami classes on Tuesdays. Faith builders & Church on Wed. Thursday, I refuse to leave the house! Friday Library and playgroup. Saturday field trips or visits with friends and family. Sunday Church.

Find a local homeschool group. Try yahoo groups for a good starting point. Check out what your local library has to offer. Also your local rec dept.

Usually there are plenty of options for socialization, it's just knowing where to look for them in small towns or when money is tight.
